16 Sugar Cookies

These sugar cookies are so easy to make, don't need chilling, and taste amazing! And, this recipe only makes like 16-20 cookies. So it means I don't overload on cookies too much! Perfect for small get togethers, or any occasion where you want to decorate and eat but don't want too many.

The Best Navajo Tacos

Who doesn't love tacos?! They're completely catered to every single person because they can choose their own toppings, they could feed an army, and they taste amazing. When I was in high school, my cheer team always did a Navajo Taco fundraiser and it was one of my favorite thing ever, mostly because I'd get Navajo Tacos for dinner that night haha. One reason why I love these things is that they taste super fresh. Salsa, lettuce, olives, limes, whatever you want to put on them, you can! I LOVE olives, so I throw as many of those things on there as I can. And then I have to put some back to share with everyone else haha.
I'm in my last week of school for this semester and oh man, I'm so ready for it to be done! I only have 5 (FIVE!!) more things to do, including finals, for school and then I am done until the second week of January. I love December because 1) the break from school 2) my birthday month 3) our wedding anniversary 4) Christmas 5) I get to spend so much time with my family 6) Christmas lights 7) just the whole entire amazing spirit that's around during the Holidays. I can't get enough of it!

5 Best Autumn Soups

I love autumn and I'm not ashamed. Haha seriously though, it's probably my favorite season of them all. I can wear jackets and boots, and looser clothing that is way more comfortable than summer clothing. And I'm totally not a flip-flop girl so everything about this season is right up my alley. And the best part about it is that I can finally start bringing soup back to our meal plans. I try to stretch it out as long as possible, and when it's hotter outside than the soup simmering in the pot, I just know it's time to stop. But, I try to bring them back at the earliest moment that I can! These are some fall favorites that and a group of ladies and I have gotten together for everyone! Soup that everyone will be sure to love!

Zucchini Boats

Zucchini is one of my absolute favorite things to eat! I love the end of summer/beginning of fall because that's when we have tons of zucchini harvested and we can eat it any time we feel like it. Garden/farmers market zucchini is best for these boats because they're larger and easier to stuff, but these smaller ones from the grocery store work out just fine!
I tried using ground turkey with these instead of ground beef, and I did not like it...the texture was different and taste wasn't good to me. My husband liked them, but I decided that I like the ground beef ones a ton better! I also didn't use the inside of the zucchini to mix in because I didn't think the seeds would mix very well. I liked adding the tomatoes into the recipe too!

Perfectly Autumn Pumpkin Bread

This is the pumpkin bread that I grew up on, and oh man, it’s amazing. The two loaves it makes wouldn’t last a day with us kids cutting it off piece by piece, loading butter on top of it (now I think how gross it is how much butter we put on there), and putting it in the microwave for 15 seconds while we cut another piece to eat before our warm piece. It was the best thing ever.
Now, I have to half the recipe or try and give some away because I know if this bread is sitting there, I could eat it all gone.

Slow Cooker Chicken Noodle Soup

Soup is my soul food. I could leave just that sentence as the only one besides the recipe on this post, and I think I’d totally get my point across. But, I won’t do that because I always have more words. But seriously, I love soup. Almost any restaurant that has soup that I like, that will be my order even though I’ll scan the whole menu seeing what I’d like and then I still order the soup no matter what. Probably my absolute favorite soup choice is Olive Garden’s all you can eat soup, salad, and breadsticks. Oh man, I love that stuff.
These egg noodles are a game changer. That’s one thing I have a hard time with soups is when using noodles, that they expand. That’s a no-go for me because I LOVE leftovers. So sometimes I cook the noodles in a separate pot with chicken broth and drain them and then just keep them in a separate container to store and just scoop into the rest of the soup when I’m ready to eat it. But, a lot of the time I forget stuff like that. But, chicken noodle soup is my favorite with egg noodles. They expand a little bit, but not nearly as much as regular pasta so they’re usually okay to leave in with the rest of the soup.

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies

It’s October!! So that means pumpkin EVERYTHING….right!? October is the beginning to my favorite three months of the whole entire year! I love Autumn and everything that it brings along with it. Even though it brought snow with it this year to Utah already and I think that was jumping the gun a bit there. I absolutely LOVE the chilly weather and the colorful falling leaves. I also love fall fashion: the sweaters, boots, scarves, jackets, everything!! Living in Southern Utah, it’s a bit warmer here than the rest of the state it feels like sometimes, and then it feels like it’s colder than the rest of the state from harsh winds at others haha I guess I should just be happy I’m not snowed in regularly. We enjoy hiking in Zion National Park and it’s pretty warm there in the summer, and we try to visit it more in the spring and fall since it’s cooler to hike and enjoy the weather during those times. We visited with family a couple weeks ago and hope to stop there at least one or two more times before it’s too cold to be enjoyable out there.
